WECC Project Events

The focus of this meeting is to discuss Phase 2 of PFR's curling assessment.

This will be the first AGM for the Curl Etobicoke not for profit corporation. The online meeting will involve the full WECC membership and the Curl Etobicoke board of directors.

Our second with the City of Toronto’s PFR was very positive. We focused on the plan that PFR will follow for the period between now and when the results of PFR’s assessment are present to Toronto City Council in the fourth quarter of 2020. The immediate steps were agreed upon including the creation of a list of curling centre contacts and the first discussions for a Stakeholders Reference Group to offer the much needed community wide input to the assessment.

We were truly encouraged to hear Councillor Holyday and the city staffers have an appreciation for the situation and are ready to work with us to do a thorough assessment of the situation. There is an agreement to meet again in January 2020 to continue the assessment process.
